I have been treated by several periodontists over the past thirty years. I believe that Dr. Dougherty was the first to explain in detail what the goals for his treatment would be and give cogent evaluations of how things were progressing. I appreciate his candor and find it comforting, and even better yet everything seems to be improving.

I have been going to this office for over five years, the staff is wonderful and Dr. Dougherty is very good. He makes you feel comfortable, he's kind and I have been very happy with the work he has done. I moved to Huntington Beach two years ago and found all new doctors with one expedition, that's correct, I still make the drive twice a year to this office, which is 40 - 45 minutes each way.

Dr. Dougherty is amazing! I had to have minor gum surgery, and I would not have asked for anybody else to perform the surgery. Though the healing process was painful, I had regular follow up appointments with him and he always made sure that I would be even more comfortable with my gums after I left. The staff is also extremely nice and professional as well! :) Everyone always made me feel welcome.

One word describes my experience with Dr. Dougherty's office and that is OUTSTANDING! I was a referral from my dentist and needed a gum grafting procedure done. From step 1 of booking my initial appointment, everything was incredible! Dr. Dougherty walked me through the entire process, challenges I might experience and really gave me the impression that he cares for his patients. He is incredibly knowledgeable and is a great communicator. His supporting staff, Leslie at the front desk is an absolute joy, and his assistant Sarah is an ideal extension for Dr. Dougherty, seemingly reading his mind making the procedure and appointments move flawlessly. Overall they made what wasn't the most ideal condition an incredible experience and I am so appreciative of that. I would recommend anyone go see Dr. Dougherty and his staff if anything for the consultation.

They were always friendly and welcoming, and they made sure I was comfortable and informed on every aspect of the procedure beforehand.

On the day of the operation, I knew I was in good hands, so I felt relaxed (surprisingly, as I'm usually a big baby when it comes to any surgery). Everything went well, as expected!

Post-op, I was so impressed with their willingness to answer all of my questions. Whenever I called, they either picked up or returned my call right away, making the healing process much more bearable.
